What does it look like when we live the Christian life with No Strings Attached?

It means our motives are pure.

It means we do things because we are called to reach out with love to the world around us as the Body of Christ, and for no other reason than that.  We’re not trying to get them to join our church or pray our prayer.  We’re simply doing what we were called to do: be the Body of Christ.

It means we don’t show up to events with bottles of water in order to get people’s attention and tell them about our church.  It means we show up with bottles of water because the people are thirsty.

If we all lived that way, it would truly change the world!

Got a scripture verse for that?  You bet I do!

Romans 8:

19 For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. 20 Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, 21 the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay. 22 For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children,[j] including the new bodies he has promised us.

All of creation is waiting for the Children of God to rise up!  The world is broken and we have been called as the Body of Christ on the Earth today to bring the Kingdom with us wherever we go.

No one does a better job with this message than Pastor Dan Mohler.

Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
But to Your name be the glory
Because of Your love and your faithfulness!
