Well, what do you think of this?
Unless you’ve been living in a cave all week, you know two things:
One, that Hurricane Harvey has been devastating, mostly due to the severe flooding. As of the writing of this article, the death toll has reached 44 people, and continues to climb. Beyond the death toll, thousands if not millions have been displaced from their homes, out of food and shelter, and will take months to rebuild their lives.
Two, you know that Joel Osteen, TV preacher and head of the 16,500 member Lakewood mega church in Houston, TX, has taken major heat for not opening his building to flood victims and then changing his story 3 times as to why that was.

Now for some good news.

According to the ChicagoTribune, here is a current list of all celebrities who have donated, and the amounts of each donation:

— Leonardo DiCaprio, $1 million to the new United Way Harvey Recovery Fund

— The Texas Tenors, all of the sales from their new single, “Rise,” to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.
There’s one name in that list that is making headlines today. Tyler Perry.
Why? His $1M donation is certainly generous, but people are questioning where it’s going. You see, he’s decided that the best use of that money is to send $250,000 of it to Joel Osteen’s church.
That’s right, here are more details, from AOL.com:
Of the $1 million Tyler Perry is donating to Hurricane Harvey relief funds, $250,000 of that will go to Joel Osteen’s church — the same church that has been plagued with controversy in recent days.
“I was trying to find the right charity to donate to because in the past, I have given millions and millions of dollars to charities and was just really disheartened to find out the money I had given didn’t actually get to the people,” Perry said in a Facebook video, posted Thursday. “I know there’s been controversy about Joel Osteen and him not opening the doors of the church. Joel and Victoria are amazing people, there’s no way they would love people out of the church or not let people seek shelter.”
He added, “There were some safety concerns, and I spoke to them on the phone and it all make perfect sense to me. So, before you just run and judge someone real quick, you need to know the whole circumstances.”
Perry will divide his $1 million donation into four parts — Lakewood Church will receive $250,000, and Perry explained he is also giving funds to Beyonce’s pastor. The remaining funds will go to charities he hasn’t decided on yet.
You’ll note in there that Beyonce’s pastor also gets $250,000. I guess it’s good to be a pastor to the stars!

Do you still support Joel?
Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
But to Your name be the glory
Because of Your love and your faithfulness!

I love Tyler Perry he is totally Awesome but I don’t think any of his Donation should go to Joel Osteen what has he done to deserve it. It needs to go to the victims. My Goodness Joel lives in a 10 million dollar house I’m sure he has some money he could spare himself.

First i want to commend all those who are donating from their hearts.
But sad to say their are already people in Texas selling water and such for marked up profits ! Olsteen and the likes, government officials etc who are taking their share will be subject to the wrath of God.
Jeremiah 7 : 9 “‘Will you steal and murder, commit adultery and perjury,[a] burn incense to Baal and follow other gods you have not known, 10 and then come and stand before me in this house, which bears my Name, and say, “We are safe”—safe to do all these detestable things? 11 Has this house, which bears my Name, become a den of robbers to you? But I have been watching! declares the Lord.
