We’ve all been there. The feeling that life is spiraling out of control faster than you can keep up. Specifically when it comes to your finances.
Somehow things got away from you and your bills are piling up faster than your income is coming in. You’ve created a budget and cut back spending but the worry is still driving you crazy.
I have news for you. God does not want you to live in worry!
We are children of the King! We are seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6-7). Do you know that verse doesn’t mean someday? It is the present-tense “seated”. There’s the reality that we are living on this Earth, but there’s also a reality that at the very same time the Bible tells us we are seated with Christ in heavenly places!
There is no lack in the Kingdom of God. There is no worry in the Kingdom. And Jesus told us to pray “…on Earth as it is in Heaven.”
We are supposed to bring the reality of the Kingdom into our lives here on Earth! That is good news!
We don’t preach the Prosperity Gospel here at LivingGospelDaily, nor do we preach “Name it and claim it.” But we do preach that we need to “change the way we think!” (Romans 12:2). We need to start thinking about things from Heaven’s perspective. We should look at problems from Heaven to Earth, not from Earth to Heaven. As Children of God, we should bring the solution with us to the world around us. Light and truth bearers!
In addition to changing the way you think and realizing that we are ALREADY seated with Christ in Heavenly places, in the Kingdom of God, where there is no worry or lack, here are four Bible verses that you should commit to memory:
Philippians 4:6-7
6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Luke 12:24
24 Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds!
Psalm 55:22
22 Give your burdens to the Lord,
and he will take care of you.
He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.
Isaiah 58:11
The Lord will guide you continually,
giving you water when you are dry
and restoring your strength.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like an ever-flowing spring.
