The Pope Sides With Muslims Over Israel’s Claim to Jerusalem (UPDATED)

The Pope is at it again.

Never one to miss an opportunity to take a side against the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob — YHWH — the Pope has once again weighed in on a political hot button topic.

Are you kidding me right now?

Just one day after President Trump boldly declared the United States would recognize Jerusalem as the capital city of Israel, the Pope jumped into the debate to say he was “worried” about Trump’s plan.  From Reuters:

The pope told thousands of people at his general audience: “I cannot keep quiet about my deep worry about the situation that has been created in the last few days.”

He said he hoped “wisdom and prudence prevail, in order to avoid adding new elements of tension to a global panorama that is already convulsed and marked by so many and cruel conflicts.”

Way to go Pontiff, at least you are consistent.  You have never once taken a position backing YHWH or Jesus, only the Muslims.  At least we know where you stand!

This (fake) Pope is a far-left zealot, more concerned with social change and far-left causes than he seems to be about Jesus Christ.  Doesn’t seems very odd, doesn’t it?

Here are more details on the breaking story, from the NY Post:

Pope Francis, speaking hours before U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement on Jerusalem, called on Wednesday for the city’s “status quo” to be respected, saying new tension in the Middle East would further inflame world conflicts.

Trump is due on Wednesday to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and set in motion the relocation of the U.S. Embassy to the ancient city, senior U.S. officials said, a decision that upends decades of U.S. policy and risks fueling further violence in the Middle East.

In an appeal at the end of his weekly general audience, Francis called for all to honor United Nations resolutions on the city, which is sacred to Jews, Christians and Muslims.

“I make a heartfelt appeal so that all commit themselves to respecting the status quo of the city, in conformity with the pertinent resolutions of the United Nations,” he said.

The Vatican backs a two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, with both sides agreeing on the status of Jerusalem as part of the peace process.

Palestinians want East Jerusalem as the capital of their future independent state, whereas Israel has declared the whole city to be its “united and eternal” capital.

In 2012, the Vatican called for “an internationally guaranteed special statute” for Jerusalem, aimed at “safeguarding the freedom of religion and of conscience, the identity and sacred character of Jerusalem as a Holy City, (and) respect for, and freedom of, access to its holy places.”

What do you think?

We’d love to hear your thoughts on the False Prophet…..errrrr, I mean “Pope”.

Please comment below.

UPDATE:  the comments have  been absolutely tremendous!  We love hearing from you, and we read every single one.  Please continue the discussion below, this is a massively important issue.

UPDATE:  to the commenter who said the author was “showing ignorance” by not understanding that Christians, Jews and Muslims are all Abrahamic religions and all “worship the same God”, that is 100% incorrect and a comment from the pit of Hell.  In fact, Muslims would be offended if they heard that comment.  Yes, Jews and Christians both worship YHWH, but Muslims most definitely do not.  Take your demonic comments somewhere else, because we don’t have time for that garbage here.
