Are You Blindly Following The Wrong Leader?

I saw this sign on a huge construction truck today and it hit me how ODD it was!
Now, I’ve seen these signs before. Many times. No doubt you have as well.
But today it hit me how totally bizarre it is to have a sign that says that!
It assumes that you are so asleep at the wheel — so blindly following the car in front of you — that you don’t know where you’re going! You don’t know your own destination! If this massive truck turns off into a rough construction site, you might just follow it in, abandoning the reason you got in your car in the first place and headed off to your destination.
Folks, this is crazy!
But it’s also a metaphor for how many of us live our spiritual lives. As Dan Mohler says, “many of us were homeschooled in the wrong school!” Changing the way we think is so massively important! In fact, the Bible has a very powerful verse about it.
Romans 12:2:
2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
We’re called not to just blindly follow the customs and practices of this world. Why? Because many of them are founded by the Prince of the Air – the Ruler of this World. And that is not Jesus.
So the next time you find yourself in a spiritual haze, change the way you THINK and snap out of it!
